OVERVIEW:
The UKMUC Transnational Competition invites final-year undergraduate students from UKMUC member and associate member institutions in the UK and Malaysia to showcase projects addressing real-world business and societal challenges. This competition aims to foster cross-cultural collaboration, capacity development, and create sustainable solutions that empower businesses and communities in both countries. This competition is organized by Liverpool John Moores University, UK, in collaboration with YPC International College, Malaysia, and is supported by the British Council Malaysia.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF THE COMPETITION
1. The UK-MUC Transnational Competition for final-year undergraduate students is open to all final-year students from UKMUC member and associate member institutions in both the UK and Malaysia.
2. Participation is open to individuals who may undertake a final year project as an individual or group. Entry are made on an individual basis.
3. Each project must be mentored by a faculty member or academic staff from the respective institution. Mentorship details must be provided during the registration process.
4. The project must be the participant’s own work [or work of the project group] , and any parties involved must give their consent before the project is submitted. The reuse of projects or posters from other competitions is strictly prohibited.
5. Participant(s) are allowed to submit only one entry. Any submissions received after the deadline will not be considered.
6. There is no fee to participate in the competition.
7. Participants must complete the entry form in full to avoid rejection of their entry. The organizer reserves the right to reject any entry that does not meet the competition requirements.
APPLICATION / SUBMISSION GUIDELINES
Participant(s) are required to submit projects that offer innovative solutions to real-world business and societal challenges. The project must address an existing business, rather than a proposed business idea. Projects should focus on sustainable, scalable, and impactful outcomes that benefit both businesses and communities.
Each entry must include a one (1) page A1 size poster and power-point presentation slides (max 15 slides), along with any supporting documents that can be used to support or enhance the content of the project. This may include but are not limited to consultancy report, prototypes, models, surveys.
All entries will be evaluated based on the following:

| Impact | 25% | High-quality project delivery; measurable societal or awareness contributions with supporting evidence. This may include but are not limited to testimonials, photos, detailed measurements of success. |
| Feasibility | 25% | Project deliverables, barriers and solutions Future recommendation Evidence of intervention and implementation of the suggested solutions |
| Professionalism | 25% | Quality of report, presentation, and overall project execution. |
The top 20 shortlisted candidates will be invited to present and showcase their projects at a business symposium or a similar event, based on their category of participation. All shortlisted candidates, regardless of whether their submission was individual or group-based, will be required to make an individual presentation.

| 2nd prize x1 | 5 days accomodation in Liverpool,UK in June 2025, inclusive of 1 day tour and 2 days academic conference (Flight costs not included) |
| Finalists | All finalists will have their projects showcased to an international audience, gaining valuable exposure. All top 20 finalists from each country will be invited to an online event with students from UK and Malaysia to share projects and experiences |
| All participants | All participants will receive certificates of participation and have the opportunity to network with industry professionals, academic leaders, and peers from both the UK and Malaysia. All participants will receive complimentary tickets to the Business Symposium on 16th April 2025 |
All prize cannot be converted in to cash and cannot be deferred.
